Who am I?

Greetings! My name is Daniel, a passionate physicist, nerdy person, backend-focused full-stack developer. I see myself as a generalist software developer with experience in Machine Learning, LLMs and CNNs for Deeplearning. What's special about me is that I bring a unique blend of scientific insights and over 8 years of professional programming prowess to the table. I have 10+ writing code for fun and science research. My relentless curiosity and boundless enthusiasm for learning fuel both my professional and personal endeavors.

My background as a scientist allows me to craft creative solutions to diverse challenges, I thrive in adopting clever approaches to meet project requirements.

Armed with excellent communication skills, I am an eloquent, empathetic, and conciliatory team player. I firmly believe in the power of mutual cooperation to achieve remarkable results. Witnessing my teammates grow and excel is not just a goal but a source of inspiration.

What is my tech-stack?

I'll list out the outstanding technologies I have used during the last five years, the most recent are listed first, as I have freelanced for 5 years before working for Titan Intake for another three years with an stable stack, I'm sure I'm missing several things

What I'm proud of?

Personally, I'm proud of my neurodivergent nature, I really like the person I am and the life I have built. I'm proud of my grit, my initiative and creativity to get things done.

As a software engineer I'm proud of

  • Creating and maintaining an scheduled multi step web-scraping data ingestion pipeline that included fine-tuned DeepLearning and MachineLearning clustering models for clothing classification for a fashiontech startup during the 2019-2021 period. I did other things but this is what I'm most proud of
  • A short project for a fintech that wanted to migrate an algorithm from one language to another, found what seemed a bug, turned out to be a flaw in their algorithm itself.
  • A GraphQL backend for IoT and a RESTful data ingestion API, with small memory fingerprint, during 2021-2022 period. Later migrated this backend to go and it was 10x performant, lower fingerprint and faster response times
  • Working for Titan Intake 2023-2026, as a full-stack (NodeJS-React) at first, later backend focused between internal API service and AI building a customized document classification engine integrated with a custom MLOps pipeline that reported service quality metrics.

As a physicist, I'm proud of working with computer simulations and experimental data. I'm really proud of my equation to calibrate flourescence signals, that's published at the Journal of Muscle Research and Cell Motility "A new set of equations for the simplified calibration of fluorescence Ca2+ transients in skeletal muscle fibers"

Academic Passions

Beyond the coding realm, my academic interests gravitate towards biological systems, with a particular fascination for electrophysiology, systems biology and complex systems. I delve into the intricate worlds of chemical reaction networks and reaction-diffusion frameworks, exploring the poetry of interconnected systems. I'm thinking on working with chaos and dynamical systems theory applied to biological system modeling.
