How would I test a live repo

I've got a repo that works with the change I'm making. How would I do a manual test that it works?

Right now if I try to do a dry run against a local git repo, then I'm getting errors coming out of the CLI that I have to set it up against a service. I'm just looking to see if it finds the build directories correctly.

It is currently not possible to run using a local git repo.
Steward only works with "Git Forges" like Github or Gitlab.
For testing this is not perfect, happy to receive a patch that allows to work with local repos :-)
