[BUG] Compression process is killed when app goes to background or screen turns off

Issue Description

When compressing a video, if the app is sent to the background (e.g., pressing home button, switching to another app) or the screen is turned off, the compression process is completely terminated. Upon returning to the app, the compression does not resume — it simply disappears as if it never started.

Expected Behaviour

The compression should continue running in the background, and upon returning to the app, the progress should be shown or the compression should complete.
